The Canadian government and all four Atlantic provinces have committed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero no later than 2050. Atlantic businesses of all sizes must reduce their emissions for this goal to be achievable, according to APEC’s latest report. This report is the fourth in a series on Atlantic Canada’s economy in the pursuit of net-zero emissions. It investigates the economics of investments to reduce emissions or improve energy efficiency. It outlines actions businesses can take to reduce their environmental footprint and some steps that governments can take to facilitate green investments.
