invites you to attend our
Annual General Meeting and
Every great undertaking starts with an idea. Universal healthcare, our national park system, the construction of the Canadarm, all started when someone shared an idea about making life better.
As an independent non-partisan champion of economic development in the region, APEC wants to tap the collective wisdom of Atlantic Canadians for the next set of ideas that will drive Atlantic Canada forward.
On September 24 we will host a networking event devoted to finding solutions to overcome the challenges of change. We need your ideas. Come prepared to share your thoughts for addressing issues such as: how to grow the economy in a sustainable fashion; how to encourage young people and immigrants to call Atlantic Canada home, or how to manage the upcoming demographic challenge.
The evening begins with a short presentation by Eric Noel, a geo-economist and long term thinking advocate. Mr. Noel is the initiator of the Canada Towards 2030 Project, an apolitical, independent and non-prescriptive initiative dedicated to creating and sharing long term research and thinking about Canada’s future.
Then it will be up to the audience to carry on the conversation.
Finn Poschmann, APEC's new President and CEO will be on hand for the event. Please introduce yourself and share your thought about the challenges and opportunities for future policy research. The video clips and the ideas explored at the reception will help inform APEC's future research selections.
