APEC’s 15th annual Business Outlook Conference was a great success with over 800 people attending the conference, held in each of the four Atlantic provinces during the week of November 5-9, 2009. Delegates greatly appreciated the economic insight and analysis provided by APEC staff as they presented their Atlantic economic forecast for 2010. Many businesses and governments use this information each year as a key input into their own business planning.
The focus of the conference was the recession and the road to economic recovery in Atlantic Canada (Are We There Yet?). Business leaders from key sectors across the region revealed how they are positioning their companies to take advantage of new growth opportunities and APEC President Elizabeth Beale outlined her priorities for Atlantic Canada's long-term prosperity.
