Date: April 12, 2023

New name. Same great conference.

Our Building Atlantic Canada conference is the place to learn about the projects shaping our future and meet the people behind them. You won’t want to miss this opportunity.

Construction activity is booming in Atlantic Canada. Record population growth is leading to a surge in the need for housing, health care facilities, and other infrastructure. Environmental targets are creating opportunities for investment in hydrogen, renewable energy and electricity transmission. These new investment projects have the potential to reshape the region and drive economic development.

At this morning-only conference we will share the overall investment outlook for the Atlantic region, drawing upon our annual Major Projects Inventory. We’ll provide the business intelligence and insights you need to profit from these opportunities.

Business leaders will provide an update on their projects, explaining how they are navigating the current environment for capital investment. Many projects have faced challenges including labour shortages, rising input prices, higher interest rates, and supply chain disruptions.

This conference is also an ideal networking opportunity. It attracts a high-profile audience including developers, financiers, senior government officials, Indigenous partners and other leaders from the construction sector.

About the Major Projects Inventory (MPI)

This annual member-only publication, released each spring, provides information on 500+ major capital investment projects underway or proposed in the four Atlantic provinces. A major project is any capital project valued at $25 million ($10 million in Prince Edward Island) or more that adds to the capital stock of the region.

The MPI is not available from any other source. It is a key resource for investment trends, business planning, and project leads. It is developed through research and interviews with the region’s largest project proponents.
