Overview
This position involves the collection of primary data and information from companies and government departments across Atlantic Canada for APEC’s Major Projects Inventory(MPI), a project-by-project database of the major investment activity in Atlantic Canada. The MPI is a unique forward-looking tool that businesses across the region use for planning, forecasting and project leads.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop experience in applied research in a business setting and gain insight into the key industries driving the Atlantic economy. There may also be an opportunity to support other ongoing research projects at APEC. The position requires contacting project proponents by email and phone and online research to identify the information.

This is a remote-working opportunity. Currently, all APEC staff are located near its Halifax office but work remotely four days a week. The candidate must have access to a reliable personal computer, internet, and the ability to videoconference via Zoom.
Duration
The position is for 14 weeks (30-35 hours per week) starting February 13th.
Compensation
$23/hour
