Research Assistant
Responsibilities
Economic research assistant, including data collection, analysis and report writing.
Qualifications
· Strong Excel background and data skills
· Excellent writing skills
· Well-organized
· Experience conducting research and knowledge of the Atlantic Canadian economy is an asset
· This is a remote-working opportunity. Must have access to a reliable personal computer, internet, and the ability to videoconference via Zoom
Eligibility
· current university student entering graduate economics program or third/fourth year of an undergraduate economics program
· must be a permanent resident of Nova Scotia or live in Nova Scotia for at least six months prior to the work term.
· must be a full-time student returning to university in the fall.
*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
Duration
35 hours per week for 14 weeks
Wage rate
$18/hour

Web Communications Assistant
Responsibilities
APEC is migrating our existing website and membership database to a new platform and content management system (CMS). This position will help with the migration of content and data to our new platform and systems. There may also be opportunities to provide additional communications support, including template development, event planning and social media support.
Qualifications
· Outstanding digital literacy, quickly able to master new software and platforms
· Strong Excel or database background
· Well-organized, accurate and with strongattention to detail
· This is a remote-working opportunity. Must have access to a reliable personal computer, high-speed internet, and the ability to videoconference via Zoom or MS Teams
Not required, but an asset:
· Experience using a content management system.
· Experience using member-based platforms
· Communications and event planning experience
