Marvins diverse career spans leadership roles in sales, marketing, communications, customer success, business development, mergers and acquisitions, and business and strategy consulting. Marvin applies his experience gained from 20+ years in the tech and professional services industries and his educational background in pure mathematics and business to help accelerate process and continuous improvement initiatives across Verafin, where he is currently the VP of Administration. Marvin spent a number of years as a strategy consultant and has developed dozens of economic development, business, IT, and marketing and communications strategies for companies and organizations across varying industry verticals and has helped implement many of these plans. In terms of economic development, Marvin has completed numerous projects for municipalities, the Atlantic Provinces, Oceans Advance, and ACOA including studies and strategies in the areas of business and residential attraction, provincial and municipal development, export and foreign direct investment, industry needs assessments and development, innovation, supply chain management, collaborative stakeholder engagement, business plans and financial models. Marvin also worked directly to promote and grow the technology sector as President of Nati, the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Technology Industries. Marvin has also held senior leadership roles at PwC, Bell Aliant, Infotech, Q5 Systems, Open Communications, and CCL Group. Marvins volunteer work has encompassed a wide range of charities and organizations including Ronald McDonald House Major Gifts Committee, Easter Seals House Capital Campaign Committee, Cerebral Palsy Association NL, Boccia NL, Lions Club PCSP, Entrepreneurs Forum, Scouts Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Business Caucus, Easter Seals NL Board, Oceans Advance Advisory Board, Nati Board, Atlantic Canada Technology Society, Oil and Gas Development Partnership, Nearshore Atlantic Steering Committee, among others.
