Kevin Dumaresque
Kevin is President of KDD Consulting Inc. He was recently engaged as Executive Advisor with Crosbie Group in St. Johns, Newfoundland. Formerly, he completed a six-year term as the Chief Financial Officer for Irving Oil where he was the senior executive team member leading all Financial Services and was responsible for developing and maintaining strong corporate relations with taxation authorities, financing partners, bankers and credit rating agencies, suppliers and commodity brokers in Canada and the US to facilitate continued effective partnering in pursuit of the Corporate strategy. Prior to joining Irving Oil, Kevin was a senior partner with Deloitte and an Executive Director with Ernst Young. With over 25 years of experience in public accounting, he has served a wide range of entities, including local and multi-jurisdictional engagements in the energy resources, oil development, regulated utility, aerospace, real estate, mining, and communication industries, in both the public and private sectors. Kevin assembeled, led, and coordinated teams in Canada, the US, Central and South America, Asia, Africa, UK, Norway, Netherlands, Australia and the Caribbean for companies reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Canadian, and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including for companies listed on the Toronto, London and New York Stock Exchanges. He has also facilitated Financial Reporting seminars at National conferences to organizations including the Canadian Electrical Association (CEA) and the Canadian Association of Members of Public Utility Tribunals (Camput). He has appeared as an expert witness before an Energy Utility Board. Kevin also presented on the topic of Corporate Social Responsibility at the 2018 CPA national conference. Kevin is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (FCPA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland graduating in 1988 where he earned the Deans award.
