Prior to joining the Penney Group in 2005, Ms. Penney (M.Ed, MBA, ICD.D) taught in the public and tertiary education setting for 18 years. Her role within the group is varied. As President of Principal Holdings Ltd., Seven Lakes Developments Ltd. and Director of Pennecon Limited, Ms. Penney participates in an advisory and management role in the majority of the Group's holdings. Ms. Penney is involved in a volunteer capacity with several community based groups including Junior Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Directors, as Chair of the JA Business Hall of Fame Committee; the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires, Newfoundland Labrador Division as Vice Chair; and Lady Cove Womens Choir as a Board Member.
