APEC Welcomes New Governors to the Board at its Annual General Meeting in St. John's Date: June 8, 2010 St. John’s, NL -- Atlantic Provinces Economic Council Chair Ron Keefe, President and Chief Executive Officer of BioVectra Inc., extended a warm welcome to members and new APEC Governors* appointed at the APEC Annual General Meeting on June 8, 2010 in St. John’s, NL. Keefe said that in its 56th year, APEC embarked on new research and collaborations while continuing to provide the rock-solid insight and advocacy for which the organization has become synonymous.
"Amidst the monumental economic challenges experienced by both Atlantic Canada and the world, APEC has been at the vanguard, providing invaluable analysis and commentary throughout the crisis and ongoing recovery," said Keefe. "The past year has also seen APEC strengthen its mandate by embarking on a series of programs that both broadened its research scope and boosted stakeholder diversity."
